About The Position
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating front-end loaders, dozers, graders, shovels, compactors, trucks and other pieces of equipment on various construction sites for Taggart Construction projects
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience operating heavy machinery.
- Must have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Responsibilities
- operating heavy construction equipment which may include front-end loaders, dozers, graders, shovels, compactors, trucks and other pieces of equipment, based on the company’s needs.
- always perform circle checks of equipment and clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures of the company
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
- Travel to various construction sites within and around Ottawa to operate machinery.
