About The Position

Columbus Brick, a division of General Shale Brick, Inc., is seeking a Heavy
Equipment Operator for our facility in Columbus, MS. Successful candidate will
manage the departmental operations within a highly automated manufacturing
environment.

This position is for a front end loader operator that is able to work
consistently throughout the day to maintain the most consistent mix of material
that is fed to the hoppers.  There are 2 separate hoppers that are side by side
and feeding 2 different brick plants.  This operator will be loading and running
on a concrete floor inside a building.  The material piles are approximately 20
feet from hoppers: so scoop, turn around and load.

The operator is in charge of turning over the clay piles to mix the material on
the floor before loading to hoppers.  Keeping these hoppers full at all times is
critical.  The loader will also be required to keep the inside of the building
and around the feed hoppers clean on a weekly basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent mix of material fed to hoppers
• Load material into two separate hoppers
• Turn over clay piles to mix material
• Keep hoppers full at all times
• Keep the inside of the building and around the feed hoppers clean on a weekly basis
