Heavy Equipment Operator
About The Position
EMR USA is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator in Bayonne to move metal throughout the yard. The operator uses equipment such as a material handler or excavator, skid steer, forklift, and front-end loader, and must be able to work independently to complete daily tasks. The job is performed outdoors and involves exposure to weather, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise; ear protection is required. Work includes prolonged sitting, standing, and walking, frequent bending and kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces. Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including rain, cold, and heat.
- Ability to handle stressful situations, manage time, and multitask.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience operating a material handler and/or excavator.
Responsibilities
- Operate a front-end loader to safely and efficiently move, load, and unload material.
- Complete all required daily equipment reports.
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections.
- Follow operating, health, and safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
