About The Position

Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a full-time, year-round Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer at our facility in Longview, Washington. The starting rate of pay is $25.87/HR. The schedule will be: 4 Days on, 3 Days off - 3 Days on, - 4 Days off. Every other Wednesday and every Thursday through Saturday Starting at 6:00 am - 5:30 pm (With Overtime Often. Average work week is 45-48 Hours a week). Front loader, excavator and forklift experience is required.

Requirements

• Front loader, excavator and forklift experience Required
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspection and maintenance on Equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Helps with Flagging on Site to ensure traffic is flowing.
• Helps Drivers Tarp Trucks.
• Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Works well with the public.
