About The Position
Sedilia Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join their growing team in Castle Rock, Colorado. This role involves operating various heavy equipment for tasks such as spreading and compacting trash, excavating soil, maintaining haul roads, and hauling soil. The position is in a fast-paced, team environment that emphasizes safe operating practices and good customer service.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
- Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
- Excavating soil using a excavator
- Maintaining haul roads using a grader
- Hauling soil with an articulated dump truck
- Work in a fast paced, team environment
- Follow safe operating practices
- Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
