Heavy Equipment Operator
About The Position
Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator at its solid waste landfill in Houston, Texas. The operator will use dozers, excavators, a compactor, trucks, and smaller equipment to perform landfill operations. The role involves working in a fast-paced team environment, following safe operating practices, and using interpersonal skills to provide good customer service. The position requires strenuous physical activity, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing more than 60 pounds. Work takes place outdoors in varying weather, including frequent wet or humid conditions, with exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise levels are usually moderate. Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
