About The Position

As a Lead Equipment Operator with APTIM, you will operate excavators, off-road trucks, skid steers, man lifts, and extendable boom forklifts, as well as fusion machines for the installation of HDPE piping on landfill projects. You will be responsible for reading and following drawing sets, adhering to all maintenance and safety procedures, connecting pipe sections using HDPE welding machines and PVC pipe with glue and primer, maintaining and adjusting machinery, operating off-road trucks and excavators on side slopes, measuring materials, mixing compounds, repairing or replacing defective machinery parts, and installing wellheads and valves.

Requirements

At least 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiently operate hand and foot levers to ensure proper operation of assigned equipment.
Strong knowledge of safely operating assigned equipment.
Uses time effectively; anticipates obstacles, adjusts priorities as needs change and keeps others informed of progress.
Excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Strong written and oral communication.
Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Read and follow drawing sets to complete tasks on the project site.
Follow all maintenance and safety procedures.
Connect sections of pipe, using HDPE welding machines and PVC pipe with glue and primer.
Maintain and adjust machinery to ensure proper performance.
Operate off-road trucks and excavators on side slopes.
Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly.
Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities.
Repair or replace defective parts of machinery, such as rotary drill rigs, water trucks, air compressors, and pumps using hand tools.
Install well heads and valves.
