The Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment, performs routine inspections and maintenance, and promotes workplace safety and environmentally sound practices. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, including bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, scrapers, and compactors.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Interact with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.
