About The Position

Waste Connections is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team in Blossom, Texas. The operator uses heavy equipment to support landfill operations, including moving and compacting waste, handling soil, and maintaining haul roads. Previous landfill or waste experience is a plus but is not required; the employer is willing to train the right candidate. The position pays $20.00–$22.00 per hour and involves 55 or more hours per week.

The work takes place outdoors at a landfill, in all types of weather. The employee may work near moving mechanical parts and may occasionally encounter wet or humid conditions, vibration, fumes, or airborne particles. The posting states that areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.

Requirements

• At least one year of previous experience operating light equipment.
