About The Position

Collins and Sons is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join their growing team. This role is critical to their success on excavation and civil construction projects across Oregon. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and has experience with excavators, loaders, and other earthmoving equipment. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction
• Operating heavy equipment such as dozer, excavator, grader, etc.
• Experience with grading, storm, water service, road work, dry utility construction
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and attention to detail
• Team player mindset with a proactive work ethic

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and dozers
• Perform site prep, trenching, grading, and excavation in various terrains
• Inspect equipment daily and ensure proper maintenance and safe operation
• Read and interpret blueprints and grade stakes as needed
• Collaborate with site supervisors and crew to complete projects efficiently
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards
