About The Position

Recovery One, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a safety-minded Equipment Operator to join their team at the Port of Tacoma. This is a hands-on role involving the operation of various heavy equipment to support daily yard operations and material processing. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, operating machinery, and contributing to a team that ensures smooth operations.

Requirements

Ability to work safely in a busy industrial environment.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
Successful completion of pre-employment background check, drug screen (including marijuana), and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating heavy equipment.
Experience with loaders, excavators, yard goats, grinders, or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate loaders, excavators, yard goats, and wood grinders safely and efficiently.
Load, move, sort, and process materials throughout the facility.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical concerns.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Assist with general yard and operational duties as needed.
