About The Position

Schutte Excavating, located in Greensburg, IN, is a growing company focused on Community Development Block Grant Projects, Storm Sewer Projects, General Construction Management, Concrete Construction, and Site Development. They are seeking a proficient Equipment Operator to join their workforce. The role requires proficiency in operating excavators, backhoes, dozers, etc., and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, provide material lists, and identify equipment needs for projects. Experience in all aspects of site development, including pipe laying, grading, foundation/footings, and general concrete work, is essential. Dependability is crucial for this position. The operator will be responsible for performing tasks safely, interacting professionally with co-workers and customers, maintaining quality workmanship, being mechanically inclined, and understanding project schedules to perform efficiently. Operators will have the opportunity to work outside of the equipment from time to time.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in the operation of excavators, backhoes, dozers, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to provide material lists and equipment needs for the project.
  • Experienced in all aspects of site development including pipe laying, grading, foundation/footings, and general concrete work.
  • Dependability is crucial.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to understand project schedules and perform efficiently to maintain those schedules.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check.
