About The Position

IMI is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator local to the Athens, GA area. This role involves performing pre-operational inspections and maintenance checks of all equipment, monitoring and maintaining equipment services, and performing inspections of all equipment and hardware. The operator will be responsible for operating a Water Truck and Tractor, and installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, and other drawings. This position requires the ability to apply intermediate mathematical skills, work within precise limits, and work at heights without fear. The role also involves utilizing logical step-by-step procedures for work, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making based on quantifiable information.

Requirements

Must have a strong work ethic and able to work safely and ensure the safety of others around them.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

3 - 5 years' experience with related equipment is preferred, but willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-operational inspections and maintenance checks of all equipment while making minor adjustments and repairs as needed.
Monitor and maintain equipment services as needed.
Perform inspections of all equipment and hardware.
Operate the following machines: Water Truck, Tractor
Installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, & other drawings in industrial establishments, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, & power tools.
Accurately apply intermediate mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division & conversion of fractions and decimals.
Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, at heights without fear.
Utilize logical step-by-step procedures for work, planning, solving problems, and decision making based on quantifiable information.
