About The Position
RYCO Excavating, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy machinery for excavation, grading, and site development. This position requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Valid 2A Hoisting License.
- Minimum of Five (5) years of experience operating heavy machinery in excavation, site development, or related work.
- Strong understanding of excavation techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions and perform physical labor as required.
- Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- GPS experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and backhoes in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Perform site preparation, trenching, grading, and material movement.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, team members, and other trades.
- Interpret site plans, specifications and grade stakes as needed
