About The Position

Audubon is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Heavy Equipment Operator II will perform the movement of Earth and debris for a jobsite via the usage of heavy equipment.

Requirements

  • Three years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Three years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
  • Must be able to obtain site & Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Civil construction and quality assurance practices and procedures.
  • Construction safety practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
  • Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Related trade school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the movement of Earth and debris for a jobsite via the usage of heavy equipment.
  • Meet all physical requirements.
  • Operate various construction equipment including but not limited to: bobcats, bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, backhoes, rollers, and graders.
  • Inspect equipment.
  • Follow instructions correctly.
  • Perform administrative processes such as equipment inspection paperwork.
  • Follow all instructed safety regulations.
  • Arrive to work on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with proper notification.
  • Support Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety.
  • Participate in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities.
  • Identify and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Follow safe work practices and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
