About The Position

Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a 2nd shift position located in the Phoenix Metro Area. The start time is approximately 2pm during Winter and 1pm during Summer. Rummel Construction, Inc. is a Heavy Civil General Contractor specializing in mass excavation and grading, and is 100% employee-owned. They have been providing earth-moving services to the Southwest, United States since 1996 and diversify in a broad range of markets. They own and operate one of the largest fleets of yellow iron in the state and have the work to keep mechanics busy working on scrapers, dozers, motor graders, and excavators. Requirements

2+ Years Experience repairing CAT, John Deere, or other manufactured heavy equipment
An acceptable driving record and the ability to obtain a DOT Med Card
Basic mechanic experience utilizing hand tools (wrenches, sockets, etc.) to complete repairs
Ability to lift, load, and unload up to 50 lbs
Ability to walk, sit, squat, stand, or bend for extended periods
Ability to enter and exit equipment using 3 points of contact
Knowledge of completing inspection logs, electronic driver logs, and DOT compliance
Experience with welding and grinding machines
