About The Position

Bauer Foundation Corp. (BFC), the U.S. subsidiary of the Bauer Group, is a foundation contractor and equipment provider specializing in complex excavation pits, ground improvement, deep foundations, and vertical seals. BFC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, service, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain its heavy-duty special foundation construction equipment and construction fleet. The position is based at the Bauer Equipment facility in Conroe, Texas, and requires openness to nationwide travel and after-hours work when needed. The mechanic reports to the Workshop Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
Understanding of computer testing technologies.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Extensive knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Ability to work after-hours if required.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work on a team.
Must be open to traveling nationwide; the position is based at the Bauer Equipment Facility in Conroe, Texas.

Nice To Haves

Experience with BAUER equipment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect large drill rigs, high-pressure pumps, slurry mix plants, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment.
Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems.
Adjust equipment and replace faulty parts.
Repair damaged equipment parts.
Clean, lubricate, and perform routine services on heavy-duty machines.
Perform major repair work when necessary.
Consult with other mechanics.
Report damaged or faulty equipment to management.
Create parts lists needed to repair equipment.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
