Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a 2nd shift position located in the Phoenix Metro Area. This role involves working on a large fleet of heavy equipment, including scrapers, dozers, motor graders, and excavators. Rummel Construction is a 100% employee-owned heavy civil general contractor specializing in mass excavation and grading, serving the Southwest United States since 1996. They work in diverse markets such as mining, landfills, golf courses, residential, CMAR/JOC, wind and energy, recreation, flood control, and transportation. Requirements

2+ Years Experience repairing CAT, John Deere, or other manufactured heavy equipment.
An acceptable driving record and the ability to obtain a DOT Med Card.
Basic mechanic experience utilizing hand tools (wrenches, sockets, etc.) to complete repairs.
Ability to lift, load, and unload up to 50 lbs.
Follow safety precautions while repairing and diagnosing machines.
Ability to walk, sit, squat, stand, or bend for extended periods.
Ability to enter and exit equipment using 3 points of contact.

Responsibilities

Repairing heavy equipment such as scrapers, dozers, motor graders, and excavators.
Completing inspection logs.
Completing electronic driver logs.
Ensuring DOT compliance.
Performing welding and grinding tasks.
