About The Position

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile equipment to ensure its safe and reliable operation. This role involves performing inspections to identify mechanical issues before they impact production, documenting all maintenance activities, and communicating equipment status to supervisors. The mechanic will collaborate with operations teams to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime, while strictly following all safety procedures and contributing to a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mobile equipment
• Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to established procedures
• Capability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or with a team
• Reliability, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment
• Must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
