The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, helping us keep our equipment safe, reliable, and running smoothly to support the efficient flow of cargo. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of emissions systems: DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), and CEM systems
  • Solid understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Commitment to safety and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions and shop environments
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability standards.
  • TWIC card required or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform advanced troubleshooting on emissions systems including DPF, SCR, and CEM systems
  • Conduct thorough equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before breakdowns occur
  • Follow maintenance schedules based on manufacturer's recommendations and operational demands
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures, equipment and reliability
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
  • Maintain and service equipment from manufacturers such as Hyster, Taylor, and Kalmar machinery.
  • Execute welding (MIG & Stick) and fabrication tasks to restore and strengthen heavy equipment components, ensuring structural integrity and durability
  • Strong experience with diesel diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting fuel injection systems
  • Use diagnostic tools and software (Cummins and Hyster)
  • Communicate effectively with operations teams regarding equipment status.
