About The Position

Plaisted Companies is seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain its fleet. This role involves working on various heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, excavators, and trucks. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment, diesel, ag equipment, trucking, or construction maintenance. The position offers a variety of equipment to work on, avoiding repetitive tasks often found in dealership environments. Requirements

• At least 1 year of mechanical or maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Reliable and safety-minded.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance when needed.
• Willingness to obtain MSHA or a CDL.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in heavy equipment, diesel, ag equipment, trucking, or construction maintenance.
• Mechanical Trade School education.
• Three years' of experience in a maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment including Wheel Loaders, Dozers, Excavators, Haul Trucks, Rollers/Packers, Conveyor systems, and Screen decks & wash plants.
• Perform inspections to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.
