About The Position

Dickerson & Bowen is a leading provider of aggregates, asphalt and asphalt paving services in central and southern Mississippi. D&B operates four asphalt plants and two active sand and gravel plants and is a natural extension to our recently established Southeast platform, further strengthening our vertically integrated footprint. This role involves maintaining shop supplies, shop, and tools, and requires the ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will maintain and repair heavy equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery and systems. This position requires specialized knowledge attained through experience and education, and the individual is responsible for their own productivity and the quality of their work.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience
2+ years of related experience, proficiency with tools and techniques.
Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
Requires specialized knowledge attained through experience and education.
Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Understanding of computer testing technologies.
Ability to lift heavy machinery.
