About The Position

This individual will be responsible for the efficient repair of heavy equipment machinery and components. May work independently to perform basic and complex diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and service repairs on internally owned equipment at high levels of quality. Work must be completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner. Daily duties will include regular customer contact, diagnosing, troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, and making repairs.

Requirements

3+ years of experience working on heavy equipment.
Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of equipment.
A valid Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Status to operate company service vehicles.
Ability to perform basic/complex diagnostics on equipment.
Knowledge of undercarriage components.
Computer skills for reporting technical issues.
Ability to use a computer or tablet as a tool for diagnostics as well as data entry.
Must have own tools.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience
Welding or soldering broken parts by using gas or electric welders
Manages time effectively

Responsibilities

Perform basic and complex diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and service repairs on heavy equipment machinery and components.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel systems.
Communicate future repairs to the shop supervisor and customer.
Assist in maintaining and cleaning shop area, tools, and company vehicles.
Work collaboratively with other technicians and parts personnel.
Operate and inspect heavy equipment or machines to diagnose malfunctions or defects.
Use a computer or tablet for diagnostics and data entry.
Report technical issues using computer skills.
