Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. military installations (NACI clearance if required)
  • Minimum 1+ year of mechanical maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts
  • Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a tank driver’s license
  • Ability to pass Abrams Job Proficiency Certification
  • Must meet anthropometric (ASR) requirements for operating military vehicles
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs, climb, and work at heights
  • Work in extreme temperatures and outdoor environments
  • Ability to work independently alongside government personnel
  • Willingness to travel for maintenance, fielding, and retrofit operations (CONUS)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Abrams tanks (M1A1, M1A2 SEP V2/V3) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on Abrams tanks (M1A1 SA, M1A2 SEP V2, SEP V3)
  • Execute and install Modification Work Orders (MWOs) on vehicle systems and components
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using technical manuals, flow diagrams, and diagnostic procedures
  • Perform repairs on vehicle systems, subsystems, and components
  • Maintain accountability of special tools, test equipment, and assigned property
  • Support maintenance, fielding, and retrofit operations as directed by leadership
