Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain access to U.S. military installations (NACI clearance if required)
Minimum 1+ year of mechanical maintenance experience
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts
Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a tank driver’s license
Ability to pass Abrams Job Proficiency Certification
Must meet anthropometric (ASR) requirements for operating military vehicles
Lift/carry up to 50 lbs, climb, and work at heights
Work in extreme temperatures and outdoor environments
Ability to work independently alongside government personnel
Willingness to travel for maintenance, fielding, and retrofit operations (CONUS)

Nice To Haves

Experience with Abrams tanks (M1A1, M1A2 SEP V2/V3) preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on Abrams tanks (M1A1 SA, M1A2 SEP V2, SEP V3)
Execute and install Modification Work Orders (MWOs) on vehicle systems and components
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using technical manuals, flow diagrams, and diagnostic procedures
Perform repairs on vehicle systems, subsystems, and components
Maintain accountability of special tools, test equipment, and assigned property
Support maintenance, fielding, and retrofit operations as directed by leadership
