About The Position

BURNCO is looking to add skilled Heavy Duty Equipment - Shop Mechanics to our team in Colorado. Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of Ready-Mix trucks while keeping shop facilities safe and clean. This role is for individuals who drive change, take pride in high-quality workmanship, and can get things done effectively.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of mechanics as related to truck and general maintenance.
  • Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper mechanic/maintenance procedures such as lockout/tag outs and special work permits.
  • Proficient with computer and program systems.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to pass MVR (clean driving record).
  • Provide own personal tools up to ¾.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • 3-5 years of Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic experience required.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing including a criminal background check, drug and alcohol screen (Cannabis included), and a physical assessment test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Allison transmissions, Davie 4 and ESA software a plus.
  • Commercial Driver’s License a plus.
  • Experience with concrete mixers preferred.
  • High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems following specifications, and manuals.
  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to diagnose cause of่อน malfunctions.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Communicates timely and effectively with shop leadership about major problems.
  • Operates mobile equipment including service truck to retrieve down truck assets.
  • Performs daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on service vehicle to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed.
  • Services pumps/motors as needed.
  • Performs welding, repair and fabrication.
  • Purchases parts for repairs as needed.
  • May make service calls at other BURNCO plants or job sites as needed.
  • Assists in training co-workers as needed.
  • Performs general clean-up of work area.
  • Follows all BURNCO policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Proper Preventative Maintenance.
  • Timely Response to Maintenance Service Requests.
