About The Position

Maine Drilling & Blasting (MD&B) is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their growing team. This position, based in Milford, MA, involves repairing and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, including drill equipment, hoe-rams, skid steers, and other machinery. The role requires both in-garage repairs and field services at job sites. Requirements

Must have own hand tools up to 1 5/8 or be willing to invest in tools as needed
Must have good driving record
Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
Ability to pass ATF screenings
Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
Physical ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs., 30 - 40% of the time, with stooping and bending 30 - 40% of the time
Physical ability to work outside on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather environments
At least 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience
Mechanical skills
Hydraulics and pneumatics skills
Diesel motors knowledge
Welding skills
Electrical systems knowledge
PLC skills

Nice To Haves

ASE certified in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance

Responsibilities

Replace and repair broken equipment
Perform PM on equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems such as motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components
Follow all Company safety policies and procedures
Perform field services and repairs on various equipment
Coordinate with Equipment Manager on needed parts & supplies necessary to repair and rebuild items
Use and operate all hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
Pro-actively identify safety hazards
Complete accurate required maintenance documents and records
Participate in Equipment Manager meetings as needed
Other duties as assigned
