About The Position

Kiewit is currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics for the Path2Zero project, located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The Path2Zero project is a major clean energy initiative supporting the decarbonization of industrial operations in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Upon its completion in 2028, the facility will be Canada’s largest clean hydrogen production site and among the largest globally.

Requirements

  • Valid Heavy Duty Off-Road Mechanic Journeyperson or Apprentice ticket
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining and repairing diverse types of equipment
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial construction
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Ability to work both day and night shifts is necessary

  • Apprentices are encouraged to apply

Benefits

  • Base wage: $31.20 - $59.80 per hour as per CLAC Collective Agreement (Rate depends on the position)
  • ITC Premium: $2.50 per hour on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Vacation pay: 6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Statutory holiday pay: 3.6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Night shift premium: $3.00 per hour if working nights
