About The Position

Contingent upon contract award Diagnose, repair, overhaul, and maintain heavy construction and tactical equipment including cranes, bulldozers, graders, conveyors, compressors, pumps, and similar power-driven equipment in accordance with technical manuals, shop work instructions, and Army maintenance standards. Operate, inspect, and test equipment to identify malfunctions; dismantle and reassemble mechanical systems using appropriate tools, diagnostic equipment, hoists, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and gauges. Replace or repair defective components and assemblies including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and structural components; perform welding and fabrication repairs as required to restore operational capability. Conduct functional testing and operational checks on repaired or overhauled equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with safety and maintenance standards. Serve as the on-site Location Supervisor, directing daily work activities of contractor mechanics and support personnel, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with contract requirements. Coordinate with Government supervisors, maintenance managers, and the Contractor Project Manager to support maintenance schedules, equipment readiness, training support missions, and logistics operations. Operate and transport heavy equipment or vehicles requiring a Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) in support of maintenance operations, equipment movement, and mission requirements. Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with Army regulations, safety requirements, environmental policies, and the contractor Quality Control and Safety Plans while supporting operational readiness objectives.

Requirements

  • Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) required
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience performing heavy equipment or military vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
  • Minimum five (5) years of leadership or supervisory experience directing maintenance personnel or shop operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Army maintenance processes, technical manuals, and field-level maintenance procedures or equivalent heavy equipment maintenance standards
  • Ability to diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues and perform repairs using standard and specialized diagnostic equipment
  • Working knowledge of safety standards, OSHA requirements, and Army safety regulations related to equipment maintenance and shop operations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required installation access, background checks, and Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility
  • Ability to lift heavy components, operate shop equipment, and work in maintenance facility and field environments while wearing required personal protective equipment
