Technica LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic QC Lead Inspector for a Government contract at Fort Bliss, TX. This role assists the Supervisor in managing the quality inspection department for military and civilian equipment, including inspections, services, and repairs, utilizing the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). The position involves accounting for inspectors' man-hours, inputting data into GCSS-Army, researching repair parts, requesting quotes from vendors, and enforcing safety and environmental standards. The Lead Inspector will ensure adherence to maintenance manuals, regulations, policies, and the Performance Work Statement (PWS), while maintaining physical security within the quality department. This role requires the ability to assign work to personnel, ensure section productivity, and assist in providing quotes to customers. The Lead Inspector will also provide technical guidance to the quality department and perform initial, in-progress, and final inspections on a variety of U.S. military vehicles and equipment, including JLTVs, HMMWVs, PLSs, LMTVs, MTVs, HMEE-I, 120M Motor Graders, and D7RII MCAs. Responsibilities include identifying necessary materials, calculating man-hours based on the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC), inspecting and troubleshooting complex systems (wiring, hydraulics, transmissions, engines, brakes), and conducting final inspections to verify work completion and order accuracy before Government Quality Assurance inspection. The role demands advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems beyond standard manuals and requires the use of hand tools, diagnostic tools, complex computer systems, and automated maintenance management systems. The position may also require operating materiel handling equipment (MHE) and performing other assigned duties.
