About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our clients maintenance team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial machinery and heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience working on hydraulic and electrical systems, and a thorough understanding of workplace safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and machinery
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on industrial equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on heavy machinery
- Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and safety concerns
- Repair or replace engines, pumps, motors, bearings, conveyors, cylinders, hoses, and other components
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
- Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately
- Work closely with operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety standards
- Utilize Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before performing maintenance or repairs on equipment
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Identify and report safety hazards promptly
