About The Position

Five Rivers Analytics (FRA) is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Combat Systems, Lead/Technicial Inspector to work in Fort Hood, TX. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Combat Systems, Lead/Technical Inspector analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains power equipment, such as cranes, Bulldozers, Bradley’s, Abrams tanks, Paladins, pumps, compressors, pneumatic tools, and tracked/wheeled vehicles. This worker operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools, examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges, replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, and tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency. May direct workers engage in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment, and may repair, adjust and maintain machinery, such as Abrams, Bradley’s and Paladins. This Mechanic must be specialized through education and experience in a military combat system which would include Bradley’s, Tanks or Paladins hull and turret operations.

Requirements

  • 12+ years maintenance experience on a required combat system (Bradley, Tank, Paladin).
  • Operator level knowledge of system capabilities and procedures to operate combat systems.
  • Experience in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.
  • Ability to bring and use own tools.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years maintenance supervisory experience.
  • US Army MOS 91/63 series qualification.
  • ASE Certified Preferred.
  • HVAC EPA Tech Cert 608/609.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement.
  • High School Diploma / GED.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required, replacing worn or broken components on both hull and turret of specific combat systems.
  • Educating and providing oversight to non-specialized mechanics to ensure quality services and repairs.
  • Identification as LEAD, adds administrative duties to the standard labor category. Administrative duties include personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.
