About The Position
Rycoe Enterprises Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair its diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, snow removal equipment, trailers, and hydraulic systems. The mechanic will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems; perform preventative maintenance; and help ensure fleet reliability, safety, and compliance. The role calls for a proactive, accountable professional who takes pride in high-quality work, communicates effectively with management and teammates, and is interested in developing their skills while supporting the company's operations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of medium- and heavy-duty repair experience.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capability.
- Prior leadership or team oversight experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid New York State driver's license.
- Extensive knowledge of safe and efficient use of industry tools.
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy- and medium-duty trucks, vehicles, and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure fleet reliability.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment meet safety and compliance standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop.
- Communicate repair progress, equipment concerns, and potential delays to management.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
