About The Position

Open Loop Energy is a premier hydraulic repair facility servicing mining, heavy equipment, and oil and gas sectors. We are committed to excellence, safety, and the efficient restoration of hydraulic systems. We’re seeking an entry-level Heavy Equipment Apprentice with 1–3 years of mechanical or hydraulic experience to support maintenance and repair operations in our hydraulic distribution and repair facility. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career working on hydraulic systems, industrial equipment, and heavy machinery in a hands-on shop environment.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in heavy equipment, industrial maintenance, automotive, diesel, or hydraulic repair
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems
• Basic understanding of hydraulic systems preferred
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and mechanical equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Replace hoses, seals, bearings, fittings, and other components
• Read basic hydraulic schematics and technical manuals
• Support equipment assembly, testing, and installation
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
