About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operators to join our team! We’re looking for candidates with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. This is a commission-based role with a graduated pay scale starting at 25%. No slip seating is offered, and drivers will be assigned their own truck. All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned.

Requirements

• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Proven heavy-duty towing experience required
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
• Clean driving record for the last 3 years
• Able to pass background check and drug test
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Tow Trucks, Rollbacks, and Service Trucks efficiently and safely
• Respond to Florida Traffic Incident Management Program calls and RISC
• Work safely at accident scenes, often in traffic and all-weather conditions
• Cooperate closely with law enforcement and other first responders
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers
• Operate GPS mapping devices
