About The Position

Alliance Used Truck Center is seeking a high-caliber Shop Foreman to lead our daily service operations. This is a pivotal leadership position acting as the primary link between our Technicians, Service Advisors, and the Service Manager. You will be responsible for driving shop efficiency, enforcing elite repair standards, and providing the technical mentorship that defines our Freightliner-certified facility.

Requirements

Five years of heavy-duty truck technician experience
Prior Leadership experience (Lead Tech or Shop Supervisor) preferred
ASE/Manufacturer certifications (Freightliner, Cummins, Detroit) highly desirable
Strong knowledge of diagnostics, electrical systems, and emission technologies
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
CDK experience a plus, not a requirement
CDL License would be preferred, but not a requirement

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all service technician activities; dispatch repair orders strategically based on skill level, workload, and bay availability.
Inspect completed work for accuracy, safety, and strict adherence to OEM/Manufacturer standards.
Act as the "lead mind" on the floor-assisting with complex diagnostics and troubleshooting to support the tech team.
Monitor shop productivity, ensuring all labor hours are accurately captured, documented, and billed.
Provide real-time updates to Service Advisors regarding job status, technical hurdles, and estimated completion times.
Coach technicians to develop their skills, track progress toward certifications, and maintain a culture of safety.
Ensure all repairs and documentation meet dealership policies, warranty requirements, and OEM procedures.
