About The Position

Tidewater Fleet Supply / TNT Parts is one of the largest independent distributors of fleet, truck, trailer, and heavy equipment parts in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced, motivated Outside Sales Representative to help grow our presence in the Atlanta market. This is more than maintaining an existing book of business. We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting out in the market, building relationships, finding new opportunities, and becoming a trusted resource for customers. If you know how to open doors, build long-term customer relationships, and grow a territory, this could be a great opportunity.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of outside sales experience, including prospecting, new account development, and cold calling.
• Heavy-duty truck, trailer, fleet, automotive aftermarket, industrial, or related parts experience strongly preferred.
• A proven ability to develop new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• A customer-first mindset and the ability to solve problems quickly.
• Good organizational and territory-management skills.
• Comfort using CRM systems and technology to manage sales activity and opportunities.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business software.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
• The ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred, but relevant industry knowledge, sales experience, and a track record of results are equally important to us.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with fleets, repair facilities, municipalities, contractors, trucking companies, and other commercial customers.
• Prospect and develop new accounts through field visits, referrals, cold calling, networking, and other sales activities.
• Identify opportunities within existing accounts to increase sales and expand product penetration.
• Develop account-specific strategies focused on long-term growth and customer retention.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for customers on heavy-duty truck, trailer, fleet, and equipment parts.
• Promote Tidewater Fleet Supply / TNT Parts products, services, technology, and online ordering solutions.
• Work closely with our branch, counter, purchasing, and operations teams to make sure customers receive the service and support they need.
• Follow up on quotes, orders, opportunities, and customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, opportunities, and call reports within our CRM.
• Use CRM tools to plan customer visits, document results, establish follow-up actions, and manage your territory effectively.
• Stay aware of competitive activity and identify opportunities to win new business.
