About The Position

The Journeyperson Mechanic is responsible for performing service tasks on a wide range of equipment, including construction tools, small engine equipment (compaction equipment, pumps), compact construction equipment (Mini excavators, skid steers), and Aerial Work Platform equipment. The role involves performing quality repairs, diagnosing and correcting problems, coordinating product repairs, and interfacing with customers in the field during service calls. This is a permanent position located in Lloydminster, Alberta, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, including on-call shifts.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification
  • Technical knowledge to perform service tasks on construction tools, small engine equipment (compaction equipment, pumps), compact construction equipment (Mini excavators, skid steers), aerial work platform equipment, and diesel generators (8 KW to 200 KW)
  • Proven experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing high‑amperage electrical equipment such as generators and submersible pumps within a rental fleet environment
  • Fit for work due to the physical nature of the job
  • Capable of working evening and night shifts
  • Capable of performing after hours service calls, including weekends
  • Must become a member of the associated Union

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality repairs to TCRS fleet of equipment
  • Solves problems from diagnosis to correction
  • Co-ordinates product repairs
  • Interfaces with customers in the field on service calls in a courteous, business-like manner
