About The Position

The Journeyperson Mechanic is responsible for performing service tasks on a wide range of equipment, including construction tools, small engine equipment (compaction equipment, pumps), compact construction equipment (mini excavators, skid steers), and Aerial Work Platform equipment. The role involves diagnosing and correcting problems, coordinating repairs, and interacting with customers in a professional manner during field service calls. This is a permanent position located in Lloydminster, Alberta, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, including on-call shifts.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • Must possess the technical knowledge to perform service tasks on our product line ranging from construction tools, small engine equipment such as compaction equipment, pumps to compact construction equipment (e.g. Mini excavators and skid steers,) aerial work platform equipment as well as knowledge of diesel generators 8 KW to 200 KW
  • Candidates must have proven experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing high‑amperage electrical equipment such as generators and submersible pumps within a rental fleet environment
  • Due to physical nature of the work, a requirement of the job is to be considered fit for work.
  • Capable of working evening, night shifts as well as performing after hours service calls, weekends inclusive
  • You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality repairs to TCRS fleet of equipment
  • Solves problems from diagnosis to correction
  • Co-ordinates product repairs
  • Interfaces with customers in the field on service calls in a courteous, business-like manner
