We are hiring multiple Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to join our team supporting a variety of customer mine sites on a 14 x 14 Continuous Shift rotation. This role offers an opportunity to work on ultra-class Caterpillar mining equipment for the biggest players in the industry. As a – Heavy Duty Mechanic, BC Mining, you’ll troubleshoot and repair a variety of Caterpillar heavy equipment such as Rock Trucks, D9 and D10 dozers, 395 Excavators & Graders; leveraging your technical expertise to build trust, solve challenges, and keep our customers equipment moving. Your work will include: * Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT Equipment in an active mine environment * Interface with customers, products and sales support * Large‑scale overhauls and rebuilds * Component replacements * Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication
Requirements
- Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/(HET) Certification
- Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract (5 Yr)
- 5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience
- Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines 793 Haul Trucks, 6015, 6040 and 6060 Shovels, D9 and D10 dozers, 395 Excavators, and 18 Graders
- Computer literacy along with Finning S-level courses
- Ability to obtain Customer Site Access (includes Drug & Alcohol, and Fitness testing)
- Ability to wear a respirator
Responsibilities
