About The Position

First Student is hiring immediately for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Saskatoon maintenance team. We welcome applications from qualified Heavy Duty Mechanics across Saskatchewan. Requirements

Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal) or equivalent experience
Experience with diesel engines, commercial transport vehicles, or transit buses
Own a basic mechanic’s tool set
Commitment to safety and teamwork

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on school buses and commercial vehicles
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Maintain and repair brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
Complete work orders and documentation accurately
Respond to mobile service calls when required

Benefits

Hourly wage of $39 - $50 per hour based on experience and certification (not flat-rate)
$5000 new hire bonus (conditions apply)
Relocation Assistance: Candidates relocating to the Saskatoon area for this position may be eligible to receive a $5,000 relocation bonus, subject to Company policy and eligibility requirements.
