About The Position
Diversified Transportation is currently seeking a full-time Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Fort McMurray. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a large fleet of motorcoaches. Diversified offers an above-average work environment with an emphasis on safety and training.
Requirements
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of computer technology trends in the service industry, i.e. diagnostic programs and service manuals
- Ability to develop new solutions and techniques to solve problems related to new and/or different equipment
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Ability to obtain clearance for the following tasks are required: driving record check (abstract), physical demands analysis, drug & alcohol test, criminal record check
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) is considered an asset or ability to achieve Provincial CVIP
- Journeyperson certification, other levels may be considered
- Valid class 1, 2Q or 3Q driver’s license is considered an asset
Responsibilities
