About The Position

Finning is growing fast and is hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics to support customers in the Oil Sands at their Fort McKay Shop. This role is ideal for individuals with large CAT mining equipment experience. The position is permanent and offers significant opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements

Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
Experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with a strong knowledge on Caterpillar mining equipment
Ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
Must become a member of the Union associated with this position.

Nice To Haves

3rd or 4th year Heavy Duty Mechanic apprentices may be considered based on experience

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain and perform equipment repairs
Interface with customers, products and sales support
Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Various related duties as required

Industry Leading Wage: $64.04 - $71.16/h
Continuous Shift Premium: $3.50/h
Night Shift Premium: $3.50/h when applicable
Continuous Shift: 14x14; extra 15 scheduled weeks off per year
