About The Position

Finning is growing and is looking for a local Shop Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their Whitehorse team. Requirements

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
• Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr)
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems
• Local to Whitehorse
• Ability to wear a respirator (may be a condition of employment)

Nice To Haves

• Red Seal preferred
• Experience with forestry, construction, mining and general line equipment
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience
• Previous gas engine and power generation experience

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop environment
• Interface with customers, products and sales support
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
