About The Position

Join the Crane Guys! This opportunity is for a Heavy Duty Mechanic responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of equipment including diesel engines, booms, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brakes, and other basic components. The role involves working on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers, and miscellaneous equipment. The ideal candidate will work well and communicate effectively with operators and other mechanics, and be able to work independently or with limited assistance. This position offers the chance to develop skills and expand mechanical expertise within the crane industry, contributing to the construction and energy sectors.

Requirements

• Basic tools required.
• Education or background in diesel mechanics or heavy industrial repair.
• Class A CDL or ability to attain one in 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of canbus and hydraulic systems.
• Crane experience.
• Currently working on diesel engines and chassis.
• Wrenching on Heavy Industrial equipment like dozers or farm equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems (including troubleshooting onboard computer systems), hydraulic systems (booms, outriggers, pumps), brakes and other basic components.
• Working on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers and miscellaneous equipment.
• Working well and communicating effectively with operators and other mechanics.
• Working alone or with limited assistance.
• Utilizing creative thinking skills to make continuous improvements.
• Reporting to the Service Manager.
