About The Position

Finning Canada is looking for passionate Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our awesome team in Prince George. Heavy Duty Mechanics in our components shop will troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of CAT components, such as pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses. Requirements

Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification (Red Seal preferred)
Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr)
Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems
Ability to wear a respirator

Nice To Haves

Experience with forestry, construction, mining and general line equipment is beneficial
Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial
Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop environment.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
Interface with customers, products and sales support

Wage: $50.25 - $55.84
Overtime paid as double time
Shift: 7x7 continuous shift
