About The Position

CEDA is looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team in Regina, SK. This position will oversee the day-to-day activities at our Regina shop and ensure proper repair and servicing of all vehicles. Additional support may be required within the region.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in a mechanical or fabrication shop, on a farm, or in a similar industry, with experience repairing equipment, building structures from designs, and fabricating custom features for equipment
  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certificate required
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with no more than 5 demerits within the past 3 years required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and meet the testing requirements of client sites, as applicable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate company policies and safe work procedures

  • Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license considered an asset

  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Able to read and understand work orders, instructions, detailed forms, detailed operating and procedure manuals and case histories

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on specialized pressure and vacuum equipment in an efficient and timely manner
  • Perform ongoing diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on diesel engines, after-treatment/emissions systems, hydraulic systems, and pumps
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment, diagnose issues, and replace or repair defective components as required
  • Interpret and complete work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Complete field service calls as required
  • Identify, source, and order parts as needed
  • Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled
  • Support and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs
  • Maintain and update equipment records and repair histories
  • Coordinate shop employees and assign tasks to provide assistance where and when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
