Whether you're looking for a 7x7 or 14x14 rotation, you'll enjoy steady, year-round work while building your skills alongside experienced Journeyperson technicians. Based out of our truck shop at 180 MacLennan Crescent in Fort McMurray, AB, you'll work on one of the industry's most diverse fleets using OEM diagnostic software, specialized tooling, and equipment that supports continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road) certification required
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with no more than five demerits in the past three years
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Must provide your own tools

Nice To Haves

  • Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence is considered an asset
  • CVIP licence or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is considered an asset
  • Your knowledge of Cummins, CAT, and John Deere engines will help you succeed in maintaining our diverse fleet

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Hydrovacs, Wet Vacuum Trucks, Combo Units, Water Trucks, High Pressure Water Blasting equipment, highway tractors, and trailers (Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Western Star)
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and after-treatment systems, including Cummins, CAT, Detroit, and John Deere
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, PTOs, clutches, transmissions, differentials, vacuum pumps, blowers, and burner systems
  • Complete Commercial Vehicle Inspections (CVIP)
  • Interpret work orders and accurately document completed repairs
  • Mentor apprentices and support their development
  • Participate in daily toolbox and safety meetings while adhering to company and site safety requirements
