About The Position

Since its founding in 1984, CEI has expanded into a full-service construction and environmental remediation provider with operations in Anchorage (AK), Colorado Springs (CO), Fairbanks (AK), and Las Vegas (NV), and projects spanning the U.S. and globally. We specialize in general contracting, civil site work, underground utilities installation, environmental and demolition services. This position is located in Stovepipe Wells, CA. Requirements

5+ years of Mechanical experience in Heavy Equipment, including loaders, excavators, and haul trucks.
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Knowledge of Cat Operating systems, ability to troubleshoot and repair as necessary
Ability to order necessary parts to complete maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Ability to work independently without supervision.
Ability to work with computers to trouble shoot various systems on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
Employees must provide a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
Employees must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.
Physical Requirements of this role involve standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crouching, lifting, holding, or stooping while on shift.
Employees will be exposed to adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold temperatures, inclement weather such as wind, rain, snow or sleet and dust and adverse driving conditions like wet, icy roads, and fog.
Proper PPE, including protective eyewear, gloves, hard hat, ear protection and steel-toed boots are required.
The position also requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Employees must always maintain a constant state of situational awareness.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

Work with the Equipment Superintendent and Operations Manager’s to maintain all Heavy-Duty Equipment and keep it in safe, working order.
Maintain accurate maintenance records of all work done to equipment.
Maintenance may include fueling, lubrication, preventative maintenance, welding, fabrication, repairs and rebuilding.
Other Duties as assigned.
