About The Position

Safely operates a company DOT vehicle over 26,000lbs that transports cargo to and from specified destinations. Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. Loads, secures and unloads cargo. Inspects, maintains, and schedules repairs on truck. Ability to work as part of a team and exercise tolerance and consistency when dealing with others. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness and compiles with all health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement system.

• Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service.
• Loads, secures and unloads cargo.
• Inspects, maintains, and schedules repairs on truck.
• Ability to work as part of a team and exercise tolerance and consistency when dealing with others.
• Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness and compiles with all health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
• Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement system.
• Operates all Gulfstream Services Inc. DOT vehicles.
• Maintains DOT driver log book.
• Load and unload equipment, supplies etc. from Gulfstream vehicles and as required from contract vehicles.
• Plan transportation routes to insure the most economical use of time and equipment.
• Operation of manual, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical hand tools (hammer, impact wrench, assorted wrenches and ratchets, chair tong and screw driver); forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Perform pre-trip inspection and preventive maintenance on all vehicles and refer defects or repairs to the facility manager.
• Maintain inside and outside cleanliness of all Gulfstream vehicles.
• Interact with customers on a regular basis regarding delivery/pick up of equipment and signing delivery tickets.
• Assumes personal responsibility for ensuring the duties of their position are performed in a safe, efficient, effective and professional manner.
