Heavy Diesel Technician/Mechanic
About The Position
Alaska Marine Trucking is hiring a full-time Mechanic in Anchorage, Alaska. The role maintains heavy-duty equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts, and assists with major component swaps such as hydraulic pumps, engines, and transmissions. The mechanic performs inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations and must be able to apply for and be issued a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Requirements
- Must be able to apply for and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card).
- Ability to show up to work on time and ready to work.
- Detail-oriented, with good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift objects weighing as much as 100 pounds.
- Ability to travel for short periods and work in outside weather conditions.
- Satisfactory background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
Responsibilities
